So you want to get a tattoo?
Let’s make it happen!
This is the place you need to be before submitting a booking form.
Below I want to tell you a little bit more about me, the studio, and what to expect from your experience so there are no surprises for either of us when you come in for your appointment :)
Artwork
I offer a variety of available pre-drawn 'flash artwork’ that you can choose from and I also accept custom artwork requests if you are looking for something unique.
I am continually awed by nature and am inspired to draw organic botanical illustrations, yet keep them playful and sometimes abstract. I love a good contrast when it comes to line weights, to create a big, bold, and gorgeous tattoo.
I am a bold-line artist who does fine-line details. I currently do not offer coloring or shading details in my work.
Schedule
My studio is open for walk-ins Wednesday through Saturday. Pre-booked tattoo appointments can be scheduled through this link between Tuesday through Saturday.
Please see my booking page for available openings. If you don’t see a spot that works for you please feel free to reach out as I am always open to discussion.
Boundaries
I will not tattoo culturally appropriated material, imagery, or languages. I will also not tattoo any sexist, racist, or queerphobic material. Please respect my boundaries if I am not able to take on your project.
Depending on the artwork, suggested project sizes will range from 3”+ however I will accept tiny tattoos depending on the complexity of the design.

I am a machine-based artist…
I am always growing and expanding in this industry and currently am working primarily with a machine. I use a wireless, cartridge machine for easibility and noise reduction. Depending on the complexity of the detail within the artwork, I will use a variety of needle sizes to complete the desired look. I am happy to answer appointment-specific questions about this process at any time.
If you are interested in a hand-poked tattoo I am willing to explore this option depending on the piece. Although I primarily work with machines, I am always down to strengthen my hand-poke skills!

Within this industry, I try my best to be sustainable for the planet and you! The ink that I use is by the brand Intenze and is the only tattooing ink on the market that is FDA approved. You can learn more about the ink that I use on Intenze’s website HERE

The Collective is a VIHA-approved, fully licensed, and fully insured tattoo studio, following the health and safety requirements established by the BC and Vancouver Island Health Authority.
Within the studio, I, Brooke Marie, and our guesting artists prioritize using high-quality, reputable, equipment, disposables, and ink when possible.

Please note that some studios I guest at are still practicing COVID-19 protocol. Please ensure you agree to comply to this when booking if it applies to that location.
In general, if you have been ill, have felt ill, or have been exposed to anyone ill prior to your appointment and do not feel comfortable coming to your appointment, please reach out to reschedule. To do so, please email me directly.

The Collective offers a small selection of walk-in tattoo appointments weekly.
Stop by the shop or give us a call to see if we have space that day! No holds for appointments without a deposit.

In order to book an appointment, a NON-refundable, NON-transferable fee of $135 is required. This fee covers administration time and art time. Within this fee, you receive 1 edit to your final artwork. If more are required this will be discussed
$50 of this booking fee will go toward your appointment total.

Booking Fees are due upon confirmation of your chosen date, and no later. Failure to complete payment at checkout will not secure your appointment.
A new fee may be required and/or the price of your appointment may change if:
You request a reschedule of your appointment with little or no notice
You requested a rework of a flash artwork
You would like to change your flash from what was originally booked
You would like to add additional artwork (flash or custom) to your appointment

Please arrive well hydrated, freshly showered, and having eaten a meal within 2 hours of the appointment time. You are welcome to pre-shave the area you are getting tattoed but please avoid over-moisturizing or using tanning lotions.
Please do not consume alcohol or drugs within 24 hours of your appointment.
If you arrive intoxicated, altered, or hungover you will not receive a tattoo during the appointment time.
You will receive an aftercare handout after your tattoo appointment is complete. If you would like to receive this before your appointment please reach out.
Looking for a touch-up?
I am happy to see you again anytime after 10 weeks of your initial tattoo appointment.
Touch-ups are always FREE with a new tattoo appointment or require a set-up fee for a touch-up-only appointment. You can find the link to book a touch-up on my booking page for The Collective’s location only.
